The perennial favourite club event was held this year on July 14th.

It’s an opportunity to team up with some running buddies and enjoy a Summer’s day on the banks of Furzton Lake. The race is 4 laps of the lake, with each being about 2.5 miles. There will be prizes for the fastest teams: male, female and mixed, and all participants will get a commemorative mug. And it’s all about the fun, so come down with your family and friends, run, relax and enjoy the great British Summer!

This year we have opened up the event to non-club runners (we’re are aiming to have 100 teams) and we have chip timing courtesy of our friends at Results Base.
Remember that all money raised will go to this year’s charity, The Henry Allen Trust.

The race starts and finishes near the Furzton Lake family pub (click here for more info) & restaurant. Parking is available near the pub but please note that the facilities are off limits to non-customers, and the event has porta-loos near Race HQ. Minimum age is 17 years old on the day of the race.

Full details and entries can be found online at

About Sweat Studios

Don’t let injury put you out of the game

How much time do you really spend stretching at the end of your run? The likelihood is not a lot. As a passionate runner, often with a training goal, the preference to spend the spare time you have doing the thing you love is understandable but tight, un-supple muscles and weak, unstable joints can often lead to injury.

At Sweat, we’ve helped many Redway Runners rehabilitate injuries and get back to running. But prevention is always better than cure. Regular classes with us won’t only help you stay injury-free, they’ll improve your running performance through greater flexibility, balance, core control and improved breathing and focus.

At Sweat we provide yoga with a difference. There’s no gongs, chanting or incense. We focus on yoga for exercise and our hot yoga sessions are perfect for tight, inflexible muscles. Our classes are popular with active, sporty people and we train professional athletes including the MK Dons and Northampton Saints. So come along and see us and find out how Sweat yoga could help you.
