To celebrate the 50th birthday of Milton Keynes, in association with Harry’s Rainbow and in support of the Redway Runners charity of the year, Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, Redway Runners are putting on a (never to be repeated) virtual birthday event.

What better way to mark the occasion than to run/walk/crawl 50 miles in 67 days (MK was born in 1967….see what we did there!) to earn a fantastic bespoke medal to commemorate the occasion?

The challenge can be completed in your own time at your own pace anywhere in the world and so is suitable for everyone especially if you are:

Tired of traveling long distances to enter races
Annoyed with high race entry fees
Wanting to raise money for charity
Tired of the same old race medals

How It works:

1. You have 67 days from 23rd June to complete a distance of at least 50 miles

2. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race to get it completed

3. You can do it all in one go or even spread it over a number of activities

4. As you complete each activity, send confirmation of how far you did and how you did it (group walk, parkrun, social run etc) to mk50@redwayrunners.com

5. Activities will be collated and posted on this web page by way of a weekly progress table.

6. The event closes on 29th August – all activities should be submitted by Monday 11th September 2017

7. Medals will then be posted to all participants who submit activities totaling 50 miles or more

WE WOULD LOVE IT IF YOU COULD SEND IN SELFIES OF YOURSELVES AS YOU CLOCK UP THE MILES – ESPECIALLY WEARING YOUR HARRY’S RAINBOW WRISTBANDS

THE BEST SELFIES WILL BE UPLOADED TO THE WEBSITE TO INSPIRE US ALL AND HELP PROMOTE OUR CHARITY PARTNER

SEND YOUR SELFIES TO MK50@REDWAYRUNNERS.COM

WE ARE KEEPING THIS CHALLENGE AS A ‘NOT FOR PROFIT’ EVENT AND HAVE SET AN ENTRY FEE AT AN AMAZING £8.00

* Any profit that is generated from entries will be donated to Milton Keynes Hospital Cancer Services, Redway Runners charity of the year for 2017/2018.

For your entry fee you will get :
