Redway Runners Expo 2019

After the major success of our 2018 Redway Runners Expo, which we filled all the stalls and had a waiting list, the room was packed with interested runners, we have now fixed a date for the 2019 Redway Runners Expo, it will be on Wednesday 23 January 2019 at Woughton Leisure Centre and will be from 6pm to 9pm, with time before for set up

This hall is about twice the size of last time and with more space we can offer more stalls and also have a side room so are hoping to add this year the option for a 20 minute talks/presentations during the evening.

Again Redway Runners are picking up the cost of the event, but would be great, but not a requirement, for stalls to make a donation to the Redway Runners charity of the year.

So if you want to book a stall for the 2019 Expo then use this link (first come first served):

What is the impact of not having one?

Recovery after training and racing allows you to return to a normal physiological and psychological state as rapidly as possible. This is essential so that future performance and training is not compromised by muscle soreness and/or fatigue. Unfortunately, most people don’t have a pre-or post-exercise recovery plan, or understand the different forms of recovery that should be built into daily, weekly and the distinct phases of training. This could be the single biggest factor to not achieving your goals and performing at your best or better!

Sweat Studios – Don’t let injury put you out of the game

How much time do you really spend stretching at the end of your run? The likelihood is not a lot. As a passionate runner, often with a training goal, the preference to spend the spare time you have doing the thing you love is understandable but tight, un-supple muscles and weak, unstable joints can often lead to injury.

At Sweat, we’ve helped many Redway Runners rehabilitate injuries and get back to running. But prevention is always better than cure. Regular classes with us won’t only help you stay injury-free, they’ll improve your running performance through greater flexibility, balance, core control and improved breathing and focus.

At Sweat we provide yoga with a difference. There’s no gongs, chanting or incense. We focus on yoga for exercise and our hot yoga sessions are perfect for tight, inflexible bodies. Our classes are popular with active, sporty people and we train professional athletes including the MK Dons and Northampton Saints. So come along and see us and find out how Sweat yoga could help you.
