Body Limits – Injury
Body Limits caters from the general public to the professional athletes. We have a team of qualified therapists from Sports therapists to Osteopaths and Physiotherapists, they all have a different background in sports and many at either competing as or working with GB athletes. So they understand the importance of keeping you in the lifestyle you are custom to in everyday life and sporting activities. They have many years experience of looking after people in a variety of issues and conditions from beginners to professionals. So if you have a question relating to injury, biomechanics, posture, running training, strength and condition, stretching.
Up & Running – Gait Analysis
From Up & Running we have, a qualified Fitness Instructor, who has studied anatomy and physiology and has a history of managing health and fitness clubs. Who has been managing Up and Running Milton Keynes for nearly 4 years. and a runner with 16 marathons and about 80 half marathons to so far.
Who will be able to talk about gait analysis why it is important, and how it has changed in the last few years. Then explain about types of shoe minimal, maximal, neutral and support.
Adam Gibson – GreenlightPT
Adam is a full-time professional Endurance Coach specialising in swim, bike and run. He holds the highest level British Triathlon coaching qualification, and works with complete beginners through to GB athletes. Adam trains people to take part in events ranging from 5k’s and Sprint Triathlons all the way up to marathons and Ironman Triathlons.”
Gail Emms
Gail Elizabeth Emms MBE is a retired English badminton player who has achieved international success in doubles tournaments. A badminton player since the age of four, Emms was first chosen to represent England in 1995 and regularly played for her country until her retirement from professional sport in 2008.
Ian Greenwood MSc, PGCE, BSc
Strength and Conditioning and Exercise Physiology
Ian is a Sport & Exercise Science Lecturer and Founder of ‘enduRUNce Strength Training’. He is currently working on a publication strategy for his research; ‘Effects of Unilateral and Bilateral Plyometric Training on Endurance Running Performance’ and runs sports specific strength training sessions for endurance runners. He lectures at the Milton Keynes College on the Foundation Degree Health & Fitness programme and at the University of Bedfordshire on the BSc (Hons) Health, Nutrition and Exercise degree. In addition, he is a quality assurance consultant for Dynamic Therapy Training, a training provider for fitness and personal training qualifications. He has completed an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Northampton.
Andy Hully – Race Director MK Marathon
Andy Hully founded the MK Marathon in August 2010 after a dream to stage a marathon in Milton Keynes in the Olympic year. He is now a full time event organiser and enjoys all aspects of event management from conceiving a route through to medal design and production. Andy is generally up for anything that can make a brilliant run experience. A firm believer in review and improve and generally making the experience bigger and better for the participant.
