Q&A’s for the Redway Runners KAV Presentation

  1. What do I wear?
You are cordially asked to wear formal wear for the occasion. We welcome Redway Runners’ members to wear their green club tops e.g. tee-shirts, hoodies or sweatshirts. If you want to order new club running kit go to: https://www.redwayrunners.com/club-store/ You are welcome to wear your chain of office or national dress if appropriate.  
  1. Where do I park?
There is ample parking at The Open University. Please go through the main gate on V10 Brickhill Street, turn right from St Michaels drive onto Ring Road East and make your way to the Main Visitors’ Reception which is clearly sign-posted. The What3Words for the car parking is: https://what3words.com/casino.reward.solved Please leave enough time for parking at The Open University and walking to The Berrill Lecture Theatre. If you need VIP parking, please let the events’ team know by mailing us at kav@redwayrunners.com  
  1. What time should I be there?
As the event begins promptly at 3.00pm, please arrive from 2.15pm and no later than 2.45pm You will be signed in and collect your name badges and wait in the reception area until invited to make your way to The Berrill Lecture Theatre.  
  1. Is the venue accessible for disabled or injured visitors?
Yes, please let the events’ team know in advance if you need a disabled parking space and support during the function by mailing us at kav@redwayrunners.com  
  1. Can I bring a guest?
No, sadly on this occasion only those invited can attend due to a limit on the numbers we are allowed in the Berrill Lecture Theatre. All Redway Runners volunteers have been invited individually. However, we have a small number of places available for Redway Runners who would like to attend. They need to fill in details at this link: https://forms.gle/UHwdsdsR15ovEQL68 We intend to broadcast the event live on the club Facebook page.  
  1. Can I bring my dog?
No, pets are not allowed to attend. Please let the events’ team know in advance if you need the assistance of your support guide dog by mailing us at kav@redwayrunners.com  
  1. What does light refreshments mean?
Tea, coffee, orange juice, cake and biscuits will be provided. Please let the events’ team know if you have dietary requirements when you complete the RSVP details.  
  1. How do I address the Lord Lieutenancy?
The protocol for receiving and addressing the Lord-Lieutenant can be found on the Lieutenancy website at the following link: https://www.buckslieutenancy.org/llbucksvisitprotocol  
  1. How long will the Presentation last?
We expect everything to be finished by about 5.00pm including the light refreshments  
  1. What about photos?
This is a prestigious event for the club, and we would encourage you to take photos to record this moment in history for Redway Runners. We will have club photographers taking photos on the afternoon which we will use for our social media channels, club website and passing to the media. We also intend to broadcast the event live on the club Facebook page. Please let the events’ team know in advance if you do not want to be part of the media releases.
