MK24 Midsummer RunFest
THE “UNIQUE EVENT LIKE NO OTHER” MK24 ‘MIDSUMMER RUN’ IS BACK IN 2025 BIGGER & BETTER
Great facilities with plenty of individual showers and toilets, large marquees to relax, ‘Tee-pee’ tents for hire and lots of things to do between laps including fire pits and games. A real ‘festival atmosphere’.
The best news of all is that the price to enter is frozen at 2024 prices.
Open to all as an individual or team of 2-6, MK24 is a ‘unique event like no other’ 24 hour running event held on or close to ‘Midsummers Day’ in June. Based at our new location near the picturesque Caldecotte Lake, participants are encouraged to complete as many 6.55 mile laps as possible in the 24 hour period. Our motto is ‘RUN IT YOUR WAY’ so you can do as many or however you want. Snacks and drinks are available free with hot meals available throughout the event. Why not camp under the stars as pitches are available to book.
Route
Each lap consists of approximately 6.55 miles (1/4 Marathon) so if you ever wanted to run a half or full marathon, all you need to do is complete 2 or 4 laps over the 24-hour period. Or go further and complete 5 laps or more (UKA rules allow over 20s only) for an Ultra Marathon. Or why not try to beat the record of 16 laps or 105 miles !!!!!!

All About MK24
The event starts on Saturday at noon and will continue for 24 hours until the last runners return to the race HQ on the Sunday. The route will be can be viewed at www.mk24run.com
“OH MY GOODNESS I CAN’T RUN FOR 24 HOURS”
It’s not like that. Our motto is “Run it Your Way” and that’s exactly what you can do. Take a break between laps to soak up the event village atmosphere or have a snooze. It’s up to you.
Some I guess will want to run as much as possible, others in a team of 2-6, but the aim is to run as much or as little as you like.
Juniors between 11 and 18 years are welcome to join us at the MK24 ‘Midsummer Run’ in 2025. Juniors under 15 years will not be permitted to run the entire course but run half laps of approximately 5km. By completing two half laps over the 24 hours, they will be eligible for the fantastic MK24 medal, the MK24 special cool tee-shirt, plus the Iconic embroidered hand towel. We insist that young people are supervised whilst on site but not necessarily on the run as I guess most of them run faster than us adults. If you wish to join in the fun with your children, then why not enter too.
We have a wonderful opportunity to offer you the chance to hire one of the fabulous tee-pee (Bell) tents which are a permanent feature at the venue. Each can sleep up to 6 people, ideal for a family or a group of friends entering as a team. This is an ideal addition to our event. Apart from a heavy duty ground sheet to keep you dry, there is nothing inside the tent, so you will need to bring a rolled up mat or inflatable bed, and sleeping bag. A lot easier then bringing your own tent and taking it down afterwards
We will also be offering camp site pitches again in 2025 with the opportunity for a limited number of small campervans (No EHU or generators) allowed on site.

- £40 to hire a Tee-Pee Tent (Sleeps up to 6)
- £15 all weekend, or £10 Saturday only (TENTS) (Pitch size 5m x 7m)
- £20 all weekend, or £15 Saturday Only (Campervans) (No EHU or generators)
Individual Private Toilet and shower cubicles will be available on site.
Snacks, water and hot drinks will be available FREE of charge. All we ask that you bring your own re-fillable water bottle and tea cup.
Hot and cold food will be available to purchase from Pizza van and not to be missed our very own charity BBQ serving Burgers, Hot dogs and Bacon Rolls.
To enter the event, each person will need to do so in person, but the entry form allows you to enter with others by naming your team and team leader. This will enable us to link entries together. Please ensure that you spell these details correctly.
Prizes for the fastest lap, and Individuals or Teams who completes the most laps over the 24-hour period.
