MK24

Route
The 6.55 mile lap is based on the ‘Midsummer Lay Line’ which runs through the centre of Milton Keynes. The route starts and finishes next to Willen Lake and begins with a gentle hill climb through Campbell Park to the ‘Beacon’ from where magnificent views of the surrounding countryside can be seen and the ideal spot to watch both the sunset and sunrise. The route continues back down through Campbell Park to the Grand Union Canal, until it reaches the infamous ‘Zig Zags’, passing the ‘Peace Pagoda’, the ‘Medicine Wheel’ (Mini Stonehenge) back to Willen Lake and onto the River Ouzel Valley Park. Through plantations of mature trees, finishing with a lap of the South Lake.
