The 2019 Event has now taken place,to read about it click here We will be back in 2020 so check this page in 2020 for all the details

This year’s event will be on Saturday July 13th 2019 at 2pm.

The perennial club favourite is back, bigger and better than ever. Once again we’ll be opening the event to all comers so come and pit yourself against teams from other local clubs, and for the first time we will be encouraging juniors to join in too*.

As always the relay is both a competitive event and an opportunity to team up with some running buddies and enjoy a Summer’s day on the banks of Furzton Lake. The race is 4 laps of the lake, with each being about 2.5 miles. There will be prizes for the fastest teams: male, female and mixed, and to celebrate the inclusion of our new younger category, a fastest junior team. All participants will get a commemorative snood. It’s all about the fun, so come down with your family and friends, run, relax and enjoy the great British Summer!

Once again our friends at Results Base will be providing the chip timing and website results service.

The race starts and finishes near the Furzton Lake family pub (click here for more info) & restaurant. Parking is available near the pub but please note that the facilities are off limits to non-customers, and the event has porta-loos near Race HQ.

To register, click through the relevant button at the top of the right hand column: Green if you’re a Redway Runners club member, Blue if you’re a guest.

We require one entry per team of 4 and one payment of £40. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the members of your team signed up – just email us the details and we will add them for you.

* Note that minimum age (defined as the participant’s age on the day of the race) is 11 for juniors. Any team with even one member over 17 will be classified as an adult team and therefore ineligible for the fastest juniors team category. You can of course compete in the adult team categories with up to 3 juniors in the team. Check our FAQ page if you’re unsure, and feel free to contact the team via email on any issue concerning the event.

Keep an eye on the club newsletter for announcements.
