Brightening Up Redway Runners

Like everyone else Redway Runners, since the pandemic, has been having supply issues.

This has particularly impacted our club kit. The overseas factories have been concentrating their manufacture on the most popular garments and colours and this has resulted in supplies of some items in our range having limited supply and often running out. As a precaution, we began buying stocks in to avoid running out so regularly so that we could keep the club kit available to the best of our ability.

However, the manufacturers have now discontinued many items in our green in the club vests, children’s t-shirts, ladies’ vests and ladies’ t-shirts.

Therefore, the committee have looked at a few options and have agreed that there is no alternative but to make a small change to the club’s main colour from 1 May 2023.  We, of course, must keep to green because that is the colour we are registered with at England Athletics.

So we are going to be ‘Brightening up Redway Runners’ with a new green. The club will stand out well.  Plus, we will be able to add a much requested unisex long sleeve top to the our standard range of kit.

As with many things, very sorry to say that the prices from the 1 May 2023 will be increasing as the costs have also increased to purchase and produce the kit, but this is the first increase since May 2021, but they will still represent very good value for money.

The plan going forward is that:

Early April 2023 – we will be having a reduced-price sale of the current club green kit that we have in stock so that will give you a chance to own a last bit of the current green before it is taken off the club shop. Plus buy items ahead of the price rise.

We may for a short period take the shop site off-line so that we can update and brighten it up to include the new kit items.

1 May 2023 – Club shop will re-open with the new kit colours.
