Redway Runners Theatre Company today confirmed the forthcoming launch of its landmark production, ‘Redway Runners: How Can That Be 15 Years?’, described by absolutely no one as the cultural event of the decade.
Proceedings will commence at 9am on Sunday 2 August at Wilson Street Food, near Bradwell Abbey, before the assembled cast of runners is released onto the route in a carefully coordinated display of movement, mild confusion, and theatrical intent.
Each group run will convene for the various scenes of the performance, ensuring maximum dramatic impact and minimal chance of anyone pretending they missed the memo.
Distances are expected to remain broadly in line with Sunday runs, although the overall running time may be extended due to unavoidable levels of drama.
Following the conclusion of the production, participants will return to Wilson Street Food for a well-earned cuppa and an official post-show debrief. The venue will be opening specially for the occasion, a decision widely regarded by the organisers as both generous and entirely appropriate.
So, what could possibly go wrong?
