We are pleased to confirm the performance details for the premiere of the Redway Runners drama run, this is being held on the anniversary of the actual events of this true local story and recreated in the same locations. It is ‘the fight of A century’, that caused rioting and deaths far afield and outside England.
Our first drama run was incredibly well received and an event not to miss, so we are holding a second, one off not to be repeated event.
The drama will all unfold starting at the church entrance to St James the Great Church (The Vicarage, Park Rd, Hanslope MK19 7LT) at 9.30am on Wednesay 2 June 2021, then will move to a number of locations as the story develops.
We will have runs during the drama between the various sites to suit different paces, there will be in two teams to match the story
- Step Up run – this is the Scottish supporters run, this run will be at an easier pace and take a shorter distance between venues – if you are in this run then great if you can come with a Scottish theme, think blue
- Social run – this is the Irish supporters, this run will take a slightly longer route between the venues – if you are in this run then great if you can come with an Irish theme, think green
Booking is not needed for this event, just turn up.
The event is all about a fun morning, do not miss it, it is half term week, youngsters are welcome as long as parent/guardian stays with them. Why not take some time to join us, for the performance of the year.
After the run the Watts Arms in Hanslope are opening earlier than usual so we can stay for the after show party and chat.
James Bond might get a release, but Redway Runners are ready.
