Redway Runners @ MK marathon

The Redway Runners were out in force again this bank holiday for the  Milton Keynes marathon weekend. Over 150 Redway Runners took part in the Rocket 5k race on Sunday, equating to 10% of the field. Personal records were set by many runners on the flat course from the centre of Milton Keynes to the MK Dons Stadium. Over 200 Redway Runners took part in the half marathon and marathon on Monday which ended in Stadium MK.


Seven me2017-05-01-PHOTO-00000007mbers completed their first marathon after a year being mentored on the Zero to Hero programme. The group has worked up to the marathon distance together with the support of the running club and their dedicated mentors. Sean O’Leary  (mentoring Jo Fewings) and Niam Hani among other mentors have been with their mentees every step of the way and a strong bond has developed across the group They were joined by many other members experiencing the marathon distance for the first time.




Redway Runners is an inclusive running club based in Milton Keynes, with over 1000 members and sessions every day of the week. The club runs the Zero to Hero programme yearly and encourages both new runners and potential mentors alike to get involved. For more information about the club, visit
