On Saturday 12 July we held the clubs annual Furzton Relay, where a team of 4 runners each run the 2.5 mile route including Furzton Lake
It was a sold out event again with 200 runners taking part in the 50 teams. With a 2pm start it was very tough hot conditions for running

- Mixed – Team 11 – Silence of the Limbs
- Junior – Team 29 – MMKAC Legends
- Female – Team 9 – Run now Wine Later
- Male – Team 32 – Ready to win or blame the Weather

Massive well done to all that took part and thank you to Marine for being an excellent run director in her first year in charge and to everyone who helped to organise and help on the day.

I would like to thank each and every one of you who made this event so successful.
The heat did not stop us from having a cracking day, and we are ALL part of this success.
Furzton relay is truly magical the support between all the runners and all the running clubs, the brilliant atmosphere, the volunteers who gave up their Saturday and without them we could not have made this event happen

I would like to thank :
- All the running clubs & runners who competed at the event and gave everything they had, you could feel the energy (you even had me running from Marshal Point 17 to race HQ)
- All The volunteers (From the best team ever of setting up riggers who started at 8.30am, the great carpark marshals, the amazing marshals on the course, the brilliant registration team, the wonderful timing team, the fabulous cake stall team, the smashing official race photographers team, the fabulous clearing up team, the excellent lead & tail bikers, the marvellous First Aid Team.
Thank You, The event could not have taken place without you. We even had additional volunteers who turned up on the day to give an extra hand, Thank You

- A very special Thank You to Ami.C & David.A who truly went above and beyond to help me make this event a smashing success.
Any profit from the event form part of Milton Keynes Hospital Charity fundraising for our club Charity of the Year.
