In November 2024 Redway Runners were awarded the ‘King’s Award for Voluntary Service’.
The award will be presented by The Countess Howe, who is His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire. The presentation of the Prestigious Plaque and Certificate will be on Saturday Afternoon 26th April 2025.
We have just sent formal invitations to all the club current volunteers and specially invited guests to attend. If you have had an invite ensure you RSVP with the link in the mail.
We are aiming in the afternoon to broadcast the event live on our Facebook page or you will be able to watch it later.
We do have a small number of places available for those who would also like to attend, so if you currently volunteer or have previously helped with the club or would just like to be considered fill in your details at:
https://forms.gle/9QeAeKA2D8rswoZL6
We will let you know in Early April.
For the event we will also be looking for a few people to help on the day with:
- Car parking and directing outside (x2)
- Registration desk and collect badges and lanyards afterwards (x3)
- Set Up and take down Gazebo
- ‘Can I help’ volunteers for guests (x4)
- Photographers (x4)
If you can help with any of these roles, we would like you to wear club green top then mail us at: rr@redwayrunners.com
To mark this award later Lisa will be organising a ‘Celebration of our Volunteers’ for all in the summer.
