We’re pleased to confirm that club membership will remain just £7 for the 2027/2028 year, running from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2028. That’s excellent value for everything Redway Runners offers.
Over the past year, members could choose from more than 2,100 runs and rambles, including weekly track sessions, exclusive club events like Beat the Barge and the Memorial run, special club runs, discounts at local running stores, chance to take part in Cross Country league and much more.
England Athletics is increasing its affiliation fees by £1. Our membership fees for the year will be:
- Standard membership: £7.00
- Standard membership with England Athletics: £32.25
- Second-claim membership with England Athletics: £7.00
- Add England Athletics affiliation later: £25.25
We’ll introduce these fees from mid-December. Anyone joining then will receive membership through to 31 March 2028, in line with the club’s usual practice.

About the England Athletics fee increase
England Athletics says:
From April 2027, club and member body affiliation fees will be £215, and athlete registration fees will be £24. We are committed to ensuring our fees remain affordable in comparison to other sports and our sport in other parts of the UK. Whilst our long-term aim is to keep fees to a minimum, the increase is reflective of increases to our own costs over recent years in important areas such as insurance – a critical aspect underpinning the support provided to clubs, coaches and competition providers.
By joining England Athletics, a not-for-profit organisation, you are actively contributing to the growth and development of athletics and running across the country. Your membership helps fund grassroots initiatives, support your clubs and volunteers, and create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in the sport. Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive athletics and running community for today and future generations.
Over 80% of membership fee income is reinvested directly into our key delivery priorities of club development, coaches’ and officials’ development, the support of competition delivery, the support of the retention of athletes and participation growth, and investment in talent.
