Our club, Redway Runners, boasts an impressive membership of 2,967 members.
This considerable membership count could potentially place us as the largest running club in the UK, or possibly even globally, that gathers for running sessions. We host an astonishing 40 runs per week, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining an active community.
The gender distribution within our club is quite balanced, with a tilt towards female participants. Almost 60% of our members are women, while the remaining 40% are men.
This diverse mix encourages a healthy and vibrant community.
Our club is also notable for its broad age range. About 3% of our members are under the age of 18. At the opposite end of the spectrum, we proudly include a 90-year-young runner and four spirited young runners in their 80s.
This wide age range speaks volumes about our inclusivity. These statistics may not directly indicate a specific trend, but they certainly underscore our status as a club that welcomes everyone, regardless of age or gender.
