Daria said ‘Well, despite all the ups and downs of the last days ahead of the Old Money Run, the day itself was enjoyed by the runners and volunteers alike. Despite a few interesting detours made to the course (those that know me, I did not throw in that hill!), and the last minute cancellation by our catering partner, a good morning was had by all.
These events can only take place if we have people volunteering to help out – at this event we had over 40 people helping make it a success. Their roles involved setting up and packing away the event village, registration, handing out water and medals, first aid, timing, compering, marshaling on the course, and of course our lead bike and tail runner.
Thank you to all of you for your help on the day. But nothing would happen at all if it were not for Sam Greenwood and Sue Boothby who have listened to me handing out tasks for the last few months, Ian Pennicott who keeps all of the club gear incredibly organised, and Dom and Will who look after the timing for Redway Runners events. Next time you come across any of the incredible team that helped out, do thank them, and better still please do think about helping out at one of the club events. It’s a great way to get to know more of your fellow members.
Finally a huge thank you to the Pitstop Trailer who stepped in and moved from their usual pitch to ensure we had food and drinks on site.
Until next year!

A massive thank you to Daria and the whole team of volunteers to organised the event for the club and put in so much work to make it a success for the club.
Well done all
Although we have to do the final accounts in the cake sale we raised just over £200
In doing the final results we have had a correction from the presentation, 2nd place Female in the 5 Mile was Fouve Rowlingson, which pushes Hayley Farrelly into 3rd place and makes Lauren Battrick 4th, apologies to all concerned.
