Gareth

Gareth leads the club Monday evening beginners course for the club.

WHAT YOU SAID

Simon Navin

Gareth is a top man, run lead and motivator, plus he has good taste when it comes to beer!

Chris Jeanes

Gareth is a great guy and a really good mate. Mr MK parkrun, beginner and Intervals Run Lead, and is a PT coach when he’s not volunteering his time. MK is lucky to have Gareth! Chris is a super friendly and chatty run lead, often seen attending various social runs throughout the week. Always seems to be smiling!

Andrew Wasdell

Chris and I jointly try to excite and motivate our RRUnder18 Junior group… he’s the “fun” and “smiley” one! He’s always full of enthusiasm and suggestions….. .. and is known as the old, bald one!

Michelle George-Barnes

Chris is an amazingly inspirational

man for all the under 18s. He has built up the under 18 club and raised the profile. What an incredible person and a great role model to the young Redway Runners 💚

Tracy Nuttall

Gareth led my RR beginners course back in 2013 and the best bit of advice he gave us at the time was to “get comfortable with being uncomfortable “. It’s stuck with me ever since 😁. Lovely chap ☺️

Lisa Cameron

Unlucky for some no 13 Gareth all round nice guy gives great support very encouraging and quite likes a parkrun

Chris is a super friendly guy who is great at looking after our younger members x

Deb Andrews

A lot of people think of Gareth as ‘Mr Milton Keynes parkrun’ but as well as being the beginners run lead on the Monday evening sessions, Gareth is also a personal trainer and, if you are ever injured, can really help in getting you moving properly again Inspiring Health Solutions.

Sarah Evans

Both fantastic run leads. I joined Gareth’s beginners group in 2022 after time out being injured. He is one of the most encouraging and supportive run leads and his approach accommodates a range of abilities. He also shares lots of helpful advice to help with the running niggles!

Chris has done so much for the RRU18s building on Doug’s legacy. The improvement across the RRU18s is really noticeable with lots of PBs… it’s only a matter of time before one of them beats him at Parkrun 🤣!

Thanks to both Chris and Gareth for all you do 🙏
