It was a sold out event again the 2022 Redway Runners Beat the Barge with all 200 places snapped up.
Thank you to all who entered. On a beautiful day the runners set of at 4pm for a roughly 5 mile route, through Stonepits Field, into the woods and up railway walk. They then crossed the wobbly wooden bridge over the canal and followed the towpath to Linford Manor where they meet the sheep. Nathan was on the mic at the finish line. Dom and Will were on the timing and Jen and crew sailed the barge and lovely volunteers, giving out water, medals and t-shirts, plus a hundred other tasks.
A BIG thank you to Anne for helping with the stalls and the raffle. Sue for organising the volunteers and everyone else who did their bit to make it happen. Debbie the run director said ‘It really makes me proud to be part of a supportive club.Would I do it all again? It’s a BIG FAT YES from me.’
Big thanks To Debbie for all the organising, these things take a lot of work and time to put together
