As Christmas fast approaches we have everything organised. (well pretty much)

On this page you will find info on special runs, which runs are happening, our special event Santa Saunter, the Christmas charity raffle, club Christmas party, what is happening at parkruns and club kit update

** Special Club Runs

We have a full timetable of runs – but a few specials or changes – details below:

 

Sunday 22 December – Run with the Animals

A Redway Runners tradition to run with the animals at Woburn, Starting at 9.00am. Wear Christmas outfits for the run, bring your camera. Old running shoes or trail shoes suggested.

* Social club run – This will be about a 6 mile route (more with loop backs) and will take about 75 to 90 minutes as stops to take photos and enjoy the animals and nature.

* Step up run – This will be about a 5.2 mile route (more with loop backs) and will take about 90 to 115 minutes as stops to take photos and enjoy the animals and nature.

 

Monday 23 December – Evening runs, Christmas Lights Special

All the Monday evening runs (Social, Step Up and Gentle Step Up) will go from Lidl Car Park at Blakelands, near Newport Pagnell, leaving at 6.15pm and will visit the Christmas Lights of Newport Pagnell

Tuesday 24 December – Christmas Eve Special

Special Joint Step and Social run at 9.30am led by Martin and David this be a 35 minute loop back run, then the option to continue to a little over 60 minutes from Willen Dragon, Brewers Fayre, V10 Brickhill St, Willen Lake MK15 0DS

Thursday 26 December – Boxing Day Special

Special Joint Step and Social run at 9.30am led by Debbie and Glenn from Giffard Park Pub, Broadway Ave, Giffard Park MK14 5QN

Friday 27 December – Step Up Extra run as well as Social run

Meet and park at the Marina on Woodley Headland, Peartree Bridge at 9.30am

Martin S will lead the normal Social run – Martin L will host a bonus Step Up run, that will be a route about 3 miles and around 35 – 40 minutes of running

 

Tuesday 31 December – New Years Eve Runopoly

Tuesday, New Years Eve, 31 December 2024 at 9.30am for ‘Runopoly – Redway Runners Special Edition’.

With this run you will be collecting the Redway Runners versions of your favourite game board pieces, like ‘Old Kent Road’, ‘Pall Mall’, or the most expensive ‘Mayfair’.

Wilson Street Food are doing a special offer of Bacon or Sausage bap or Veggie Patty and hot drink for just £5, they would like to know rough numbers for planning. So if you would like one then please fill in details at:

You will work on small teams of four of five runners ramblers to see which team can make the most ‘Runopoly’ money in up to 75 minutes. Like last year’s special event that attracted lots along, you can either create your own team or we will sort it on the day.

Suitable for all including the Social club run, Step up run and Ramble.

** Santa Saunter

This is on Saturday 21 December at Willen Lake at 10am, you run, walk or saunter the 1 mile route, with our own green Santa and the special event medal and much more
