On Thursday 12 May we held the 11th Redway Runners Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Cruck Barn, Bradwell Abbey and via Zoom. Many thanks to all those that attended.
The meeting reviewed the last year of the club ‘The Recovery Year’ both from activities, numbers and the financial position of the club and we looked forward to some of the things the club are working on for an exciting year ahead..
You can read the full AGM report and see the slides used at:

We agreed changes to the club constitution and the updated final version is on the club website at:

Sadly, after 11 years Julie Martin decided to step down from the role on the club committee as ‘Social and Recruitment’. Many thanks to Julie for all the hard work over the years since the club started and for her support. We will miss you but sure will be seeing you on future runs.
As we had the vacancy we agreed to change the role for the future to ‘Social & Event Support’ and I am pleased to confirm that James Dwight stood for this position and was elected, good luck James, looking forward to the socials.
All other members of the committee stood and as no other nominations were received, the current committee were re-elected, details of the committee are also at:

Finally, from me, can I add a big thank you to everyone who is involved in the club helping in so many ways from leading runs, sitting on the committee to leading events, plus all the people who help in other ways both seen and unseen, your help and support is so vital to the clubs continued success.
Redway Runners Charity of the Year
At the AGM we were able to announce the amount that we raised for last year’s club charity of the year who were MKAct
The amount we raised was a fantastic £4,988 and most of the money came from the profits from the events that we held.
At the meeting four nominations for the club charity of the year for this year to the 31 March 2023 and those at the meeting voted for ‘Willen Hospice‘ so they are the Redway Runners Charity of the Year for 2022/2023
If anyone would like to help to raise funds for them like organising the club Christmas raffle please get in touch as we did not hold this in the last year, contact us on rr@redwayrunners.com
If you would like to make a one off donation to them to start the ball rolling you can do this on your Love Admin account, go to ‘Payments’ and one off donation.
